KIDS, LET THE CAMPS BEGIN!

Fifteen reconditioned laptops have already been sent down and are on site.

A couple more can be carried down if we get them.

REALLY NEEDED: GOOD USED I-PADS

We can take only ones in good working condition. It's too expensive to get them fixed in the islands.

WE HOPE TO BE ABLE TO TRAIN A WHOLE BUNCH OF KIDS PER WEEK FOR TWO WEEKS - SOME FROM THE POOREST AREAS OF THE ISLAND

Shanda Boyea is the new Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Diocese of Kingstown, SVG.

She will be working with Father Alando Williams (above) and Kirt Morris (below) to organize and oversee this summer's kid's computer camps.

Beth Kolodey, a children's computer teacher here in Louisville's Jefferson County School System, will be going down to help run this summer's Children's Computer Camp on the island of Saint Vincent.

She and Shanda Boyea, Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Diocese of Kingstown, SVG, hope to teach children each morning and each afternoon for five days per week.

We thank all involved, we wish them luck and we can't wait to hear about how it all turns out!

The snacks have already arrived on Saint Vincent and are waiting to be served to the kids morning and afternoons.

OUTER ISLANDS HAVE A HEAD START

LAST YEAR'S GREAT "AH-HA" MOMENT

Over a year ago, we sent down some used laptop computers given to us by Brown Forman. These girls on the island of Mayreau (above) had never touched a computer. After some instruction from Father Rex, pastor, these girls have a great "ah-ha" moment. Look at the 2 photos below.

Last year, Father Rex who was called back to the Philippines after two terms, expanded his classes to the island of Union. With the five reconditioned laptops we sent down, he was able to teach on two of his islands - Mayreau and Union. Look at these happy students accessing a world beyond their island.

I consider the teens we sponsored to go to WORLD YOUTH DAY in Poland and these computer classes to be two of our most successful life-changing programs.
