OUR SCHOOL SUPPLIES ARE ARRIVING IN THE ISLANDS

The womens' group, CWL, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, sent a nice box of school supplies and a scholarship for a grade school child at Saint Mary's School in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. A big thank you to Ophelia Pinto who spearheaded this project.

Thanks to many of my Kentucky mission supporters, we have sent SEVEN large boxes so far to the islands of St. Vincent, Union, Mayreau and Canouan. We will probably have two more to go so we can include the island of Bequia.

THANK YOU NOTES COMING IN

Dear Fr. Ron
Thank you so much for the school supplies. Every item in the box is very useful. I can already see the excitement of the teachers when they receive the items,  especially the beautiful rubber stamps  which they will use to help motivate the students in their work.

We are always grateful for you kind assistance. On behalf of Ms  Johnny, the teachers and students, I sincerely thank you for your continued support.

May God continue to shower you with the blessings that you stand most in need of.
God bless!

Sr. Carmen, Saint Mary School

Hi Fr Ron,

I acknowledge the receipt of your email. I don't know know how to thank you. You're a blessing to us. Thanks so much. When it arrives I will let you know it is shared. Thanks million thanks.

I wish to thank you so much for the school supplies. They are all useful. I had to buy some rulers for the children (of Saint Benedict Home for Children) this time for school. They were so soft that the children started breaking them up. These which I have received from you will last longer for they are much stronger.
Sister Nyra Anne, O. Carm.

On Wednesday, September 18, I was given five boxes of nice school supplies from Bernadette Casini and two more boxes from Karen Crook and S.O.S. I will prepare them to be sent down as soon as possible.

I'VE BEEN INVITED BACK BY THE DIOCESE OF SAGINAW

TODAY I WILL BE FLYING UP TO MICHIGAN
A RETURN TRIP TO THIS DIOCESE AFTER ELEVEN YEARS

ANNUAL SAGINAW PRIEST CONVOCATION
September 23 - 26, 2019

I was last there in mid-May, 2008, when Bishop Robert J. Carlson (now Archbishop of Saint Louis) was the bishop of the diocese. His successor,, Bishop Joseph Cistone, died of cancer this past October at age 69. The diocese has been through a lot this past year or two. I hope I can bring a little hope and comfort to the priests while I am there.

former Bishop Joseph Cistone, deceased
May he rest in Peace!
