OPENING UP A NEW WORLD FOR SOME ISLAND KIDS

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO

Church of the Epiphany 

for the four used laptops. 


These girls had never touched a computer....



...but look at the face of the one in the middle when she starts getting the hang of it! 
That smile makes the whole effort of getting those  laptops down there worth every minute!



The Director of Religious Education on the island got one and Father Rex uses the other one to teach kids how to use them.

The big problem is these kids have to "take turns." Notice the girl on the right can't help herself and puts her finger on the computer too. I am hoping to get two or three more used laptops because the school they attend does not have them. Father Rex can teach them right there on the porch of the church on the island of Mayreau. Computers have the possibility of opening up a whole new world to these girls - a world beyond their small island. 

The other two laptops (Chrome Books) are being used on the main island of St. Vincent. I hope to get some more photos on some future trip!
